Redwood Burl of the Northcoast has added burl blocks of all sizes for carving or turnings and tree sections or stump tops from 50-50,000 pounds, suitable for sculptures and carvings. Schools

Southeastern Woodcarving School offers a variety of carving and craft classes for all skill levels.

Tennessee Valley Wood Carving School offers two schools each year featuring a variety of class for all interests and levels.

John C. Campbell Folk School offers numerous classes by nationally and regionally known carvers.  JCCFS also offers classes in clay, wood, fiber, and metal.

Vic Kirkman offers online woodcarving classes.

John Moore's Wooden Expressions offers woodcarving classes.

Smoky Mountain School of Woodcarving carving school is located in Townsend, TN. The school offers classes for beginning carvers as well as for established carvers.
